So I've decided to start blogging...

It's past 11 p.m., which means I should be asleep (I have an 8AM Bio class tomorrow), but instead I'm sitting here, munching on my "Healthy Mix" I bought from Upstein and making my very first blog post. I'm not exactly sure why I'm starting this, but I'm starting it nonetheless. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what becomes of it. :)

I suppose I'll start with what's current in my life. I was accepted to the drama department at Tisch last Friday and I can't stop smiling about it. I haven't been told which studio I was placed in yet, but hopefully I'll be hearing that soon. I am so excited and only wish I could start classes tomorrow instead of five months from now! But there are only six weeks left in this semester, which means only six more weeks of trudging through academics and then relaxing for the summer until my new classes start up in the fall :)

What am I doing this summer? Good question. I've applied to a few internships with some theaters in the city and still need to apply to a few more. I've heard back from one so far, but it hasn't really gone anywhere yet. I know I'll be staying in the city for most of the summer so I'll probably take a lot of dance and voice classes and maybe even take some gen eds at school. What I would really love to do is travel somewhere (Maybe go back to Cadiz, or visit Italy or Greece :)

Today I decided to start being vegan again (at least for the most part). I managed to last the whole day (and hopefully will last at least a whole month :) This is going to be very hard though because Elana's mom just sent her some delicious chocolate fudge brownies. Temptation anyone?

Other things that happened today include catching up with Lindsay F. at Starbucks while simultaneously having a newfound appreciation for vanilla lattes, finding out that I did well on my social foundations and writing II midterms, quick lunch with Jessie, poster posting for "Move Over, Mrs. Markham," in the east and west village, talking to my sister, talking to Cassie, and watching the dress rehearsal for "Move Over, Mrs. Markham." Basically, a lot of walking in my barbie boots (my ankle high brown boots from Mudd that I love, but definitely make my feet go numb after an a couple hours worth of walking.)

"Move Over, Mrs. Markham" (MOMM) is a show that I'm doing publicity for. It's put on entirely by a group called Tisch New Theatre (TNT). It's playing at Skirball on April 1st and 2nd only. It's a hilarious British sex farce and the show it's 100% student run. Tickets at $10 with an NYU ID and $20 for general admission. I think everyone should see this show because TNT is completely brand new and is going all out for its first production... which is really exciting!

Sorry this first post was a little all over the place. I'm going to try to be more creative with the future ones and they probably won't all be as long. I hope everyone reading this has a wonderful night and a good day tomorrow :)
